Pluscore
Records is not so much an independent label, but a
hyper independent label founded by an aging fraggle
from Cheshire. The label's first release was
'Intravaganza' by Sheldon in 2009. At this point
the label might have been better named 'Pluscore
Record' (no 's'), but any accusations of false
advertising were thankfully averted as the years
passed by the release of other records, giving
full justification to that 's'.
The name 'Pluscore' means 'positive centre', which
is kind of bohemian, though it also sounds kind of
aggressive due to the 'core' bit. Unfortunately it
was also a term used for enhanced compact discs in
the late 90s and early 2000s which was a bit
confusing for anyone trying to Google the label.
This was a complete coincidence, not some attempt
at being quirky like calling your band 'The
Banned' or such similar.

the near future.
